Message from the Executive Director August 2022
Dear Members and Friends,
I hope you had a nice celebration of the Swiss National Day on 1 August and also a relaxing summer break. Soon the wheels will start turning faster again and I am looking forward to an eventful second half of 2022. I would like to briefly tell you what we have achieved in the last month and give you a preview of what is to come.
After a long planning phase, we were able to introduce the Business Fast Track program for STCC corporate members. This allows your employees who need to travel to Switzerland for business reasons to obtain Schengen visas in a simplified procedure and with additional benefits. You can read more about this program in a separate article in the newsletter. We hope that this benefit of your membership will help you to do business between Switzerland and Thailand more effectively.
For the second half of the year, we are already seeing a flurry of planned events and I am sure that with the recovering economy and the linked activities your diary will be filled in no time. Nevertheless, we are now looking to host a STCC Connect networking event each month. This relaxed networking event will give you the opportunity to network with the Swiss-Thai business community. The next event is set for the 25th of August at the Holiday Inn Sukhumvit 22.
We will also be organising company visits exclusively for our members more frequently. This will give our members the opportunity to learn more about what other Chamber members are doing in their everyday business and to connect outside of networking events.
